I have to say I prefer fried tofu...on it's own it is too mushy and in miso soup I feel like it is sludgy. I haven't tried making desserts with it yet though.
Do you fry it yourself? I had fried tofu in a restaurant as part of a Mexican-style dish. I eat tofu because I enjoy it as opposed to health reasons. It's so soft.
There are also tofu noodles available in grocery stores which taste surprisingly like the real thing.
Have you heard about how one man figured out how to deep-fry water?
