ya, same here.

well, as far as the flour recall - they have extended the dates so I just may go ahead and discard the flour to be on the safe side. They don't want you making crafts out of it either so I guess there isn't any use for it.

Not radioactive...bacterial so they are afraid if you use the flour for playdough etc that if you get it on any cuts or put it in your mouth you could get sick. Makes sense I guess but I would think you'd have to eat a lot of it to get sick but apparently not?

ohhh...

What if I nuke it in the microwave? Does it then become radioactive AND bacterial? haha

I wonder why it's still not safe to bake with it then. You'd think cooking the flour would kill whatever is in it.

I wondered too but maybe they are trying to be safe? Many people are tempted to eat raw cookie dough (for example)

http://www.cnn.com/2016/09/19/health/ke ... index.html

The recalled waffles are available in 10-count packs with "Best if used by" dates of November 21, 2017, and November 22, 2017, which can be found on the side of the package. You can also look for the UPC product code on the label.
The company is asking consumers to throw away the affected products and contact Kellogg for a full refund by calling 1-800-962-1413 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or by visiting its website.

I have an almost-done tub of spinach and artichoke hummus in the fridge... "best before DEC 25 2015" ah crackers. No wonder why my some of my family have gotten sick/haven't felt well this week. I have been having some of the symptoms (nothing too serious, just nausea, minor headaches, and some abdominal pain) but I attributed that to the "once in a full moon" kind of stuff.

The spinach and artichoke hummus was so so good too... T ^ T

I think we get sick from contaminated food way more often then we realize because don't they only do a recall after people have complained? How many times have I felt ill after eating stuff and not reported it.

I hope your family recovers quickly, Polaris

Aw, shame you guys had upset tummies cause of bad food. When my body is bothering me my first thought is "what did I do to cause this?"

the food didn't taste bad...and it is food I have eaten before with no problem - but I do ask myself what I ate when my tummy feels upset and try to narrow it down.
