Last time I had so many banana's go brown I made 2 loaves of banana bread & froze one loaf. It defrosted well.

In the UK, we have pancake day (Shrove Tuesday) the day before Lent starts on Ash Wednesday. I think it came about because people would use up food they'd give up for Lent.

It starts on Ash Wednesday (22nd Feb) and ends on 6th April, three days before Easter
