old people are awesome - until they go to drive. But if you take the time to hear their life stories it is pretty amazing what some of them have done in their lifetime.

Unless they're senile. My husband's grandma is senile and often I am confused by her. And she still doesn't know !y name. I'm "the girl" my husband and I have been together 9 years!

some countries provide good care for their elderly and in some cultures the elderly have a place of honor but it is not so everywhere. maybe because people are living much longer and are considered a burden?

oh i agree on the driving. my grandpa drove trucks for work all his life and he can get some serious roadrage. lD
i'm honestly surprised he's never gotten a ticket for the amount of times he's speeding/running through red lights. >>'

My grandma's mother suffered from what we thought was dementia before she passed on. as a child i'd visit all the time and she always spoiled me but after having a heart attack/stroke it was like i was just a random person. i was just my mother's kid after that. wouldn't even call me by my name.

welcome Oby! You can consider yourself very special being one of the first over sea's members. The site began with friends and family and is still in the alpha stage so it is all word of mouth. Please don't feel intimidated. If you have any concerns let Diana, Lime or zombiebunn know by PM ing them. They are very helpful and it will help them with perfecting the site.
