Professor: Now, the mea-
Classmate: -very slowly- I think that blah blah blah
Professor: Don't talk while I or others are talking, do you understand that? We've been over this in the past.
Me: -in my head- how many times has he instructed you to not speak when he's talking?
Professor: Back in the middle ages...
Same classmate: -raises hand-
Professor: Yes?
Classmate: -doesn't respond, keeps hand up-
Professor: -clearly getting irritated- Yes, how may I help you?
Classmate: -still doesn't respond, clearly just wasting time now-
Professor: -very irritated- Don't raise your hand unless you have a question.
Classmate: I'd like to be formally acknowledged of having my hand up by you saying my name so that I know you were talking to me (despite the fact he was the only one with his hand up)
Professor: You need to stop with the condescending tone and just answer when I ask for you to ask your question or else I'm going to have to ask you to leave.
Classmate: -finally asks his question-
(Totally not the exact conversation due to it being held a couple months ago. But I can't stand this kid. I think he has a learning disability or something, but he's still annoying.)
