Chocolate Cravings?

Postby Mousy » Fri Mar 25, 2016 8:23 pm

So, I loooove chocolate! I love baking things too, but I never finish the cakes or brownies or whatever I make. Such a waste T_T

I found a recipe for "cake in a mug"! It's a single serving chocolate cake recipe that satisfies all of my cravings. I'm going to go make it (again) right after I type this! I made some changes to the original recipe. XD

2 tbsp melted butter (original recipe had 2tbsp of oil-I didn't like that taste and enjoy the butter more)
2 tbsp water
splash of vanilla
dash of salt
~ mix those together
2 tbsp cocoa powder
~mix
3 tbsp sugar
~mix
2 tbsp flour
~mix

Microwave for about 60 seconds.... Eat. Be happy.

It's supposed to be a little "molten." if you don't like that texture, microwave it for about 75 seconds.
I bet it would be fantastic with ice cream!!
I always get a glass of milk with it. ^_^

Do you guys have any easy recipes for sweets that you'd like to share?

If you try this one, let me know how it turns out!

If you are talking to me, please ping or quote me. I get distracted and lose track of what I'm doing easily.

sometimes I get impatient and dump all of the ingredients in at once. It doesn't mix as well, but it still does the trick. XD

I love that it's literally stuff that is in the house all the time. You don't have to go out and buy anything unless you're out of something you usually use anyway.

Kitalpha Hart
That's totally what I think my try at "mug cakes" would look like. lol.

I am always afraid the mug wouldn't be able to withstand the cake cooking; it might explode or the cake would melt into it and they would be stuck together forever. Or the outside of the cake will be overdone and the inside would be super gooey.

-cackles-
To go by all the results on a Google image search of "cake in a cup nailed it" it's a common failure

I think the bottom picture is what mine would look like - because that's how my soup in a mug comes out like

You guys are making me super hungry. xD
I'm not allowed to use the microwave unfortunately, mom thinks it causes cancer. >_>
Has anyone tried using an oven for this or is it too dangerous?

Except that there's a lot more radio waves like what the microwave produces around the world, so it's gonna happen anyway. Use the microwave

OTL
Ovens and stoves solve everything for our family.
Actually I do know some classmates who have microwaves but don't have ovens. xD
