I hate moqsuitoes

They kept waking me up last night, which made it hard for me to fall asleep. Ugh, I am just so tired! I think I am going to take a nap. I heard that they are on the rise with the warm climate, but I heard planting fresh lavender or geranium around the house is good protection to keep them from entering your house. I do not know if that is true, but meh.

Don't go outside and keep all the windows shut. Then they'll never get to you!

I've considered mosquito nets on my bed when I've been in situations like that. It's crazy how desperate I get late at night and can't sleep due to those suckers!

more standing water this year - mosquitoes have come out of their hibernation and are plaguing us! eat B12 and they are less likely to bite you , but doesn't solve them buzzing by your ear at night. And I heard their are plants that deter the mosquitoes, I think they smell like skunk though.

Thank you Akuyi! I knew there was something else we've used!
I completely forgot, if you put a citronella candle by the door and windows ( doesn't have to be lit) the scent can deter the mosquitoes - something I am going to go pick up before our mosquitoes get bad. I am going to check out what else there is available because I think there used to be a citronella spray as well.

Keeping windows closed doesn't always work, since there are always the air vents in the walls for them to sneak through >3<

Galled Do you think they congregate and formulate a plan of attack? I can imagine them singing "Kill the Beast" from Beauty and the Beast, and their noise they make is them singing. On a serious note, I have only heard of those nets on one other site when I complained about mosquitoes there. How big are they?

Boris They're usually just the size of your bed. During the various tropical wars, they were just slightly larger than the size of a camping cot.

I understand that mosquitoes are statistically the most dangerous creatures on earth responsible for the most human deaths, so groups like Bill Gates' give out mosquito netting as part of their war on wiping out malaria because the cost to effectiveness ratio is so good.

B12 is a B vitamin found in such foods as brewer's yeast, and animal foods - meat, cheese and some grains but not really in vegetables. I used to sprinkle some on popcorn which gave it a cheesy flavor (but I rarely eat popcorn anymore).

Yeah, mosquitoes are the worst. Especially when you can hear it... buzzing around your ear... I have twice woken up with swollen eyelids.
