Agreed, they look pretty scarey! :strain:

But of course they're harmless to humans. They're actually very cool--they're the fastest insects on the planet! :Feather:

Still! One time, when I was camping, a dragonfly landed on the ground in front of my head, and it looked like it was scowling at me. It was scary!

So, I have been taking a vitamin B complex for about a week or so and today there was a swarm of little mosquito bugs and none of them bit me...so maybe there is something about Vit B keeping the mosquitos away...

Yeah, there is, maybe.

There wing sounds are pretty loud and that can be alarming when they whiz by.

I like to think of them as friendly dragons. It kind of takes the edge off.;)

In the store I saw some bug repellent bracelets - bug off and citronella ones - anyone know if they work?

I don't know. We cat our cat a flea collar once, but it didn't work. Our cat still ended up getting flea... just not around the collar. We were then informed that it only gets rid of fleas by killing them once the land on the flea collar.

Not sure if it'll work with the bug repellent bracelet.

I think dragon flies are cool but they do spook me when they get close to me.

Cats and dogs really need to take the monthly pills to prevent fleas and ticks etc.

I'm always hesitant to wear anything like that, I don't know what it is doing to my body long term.

10 things you didn't know about mosquitos
https://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/anima ... mosquitoes

1. The smell of chocolate confuses them

The carbon dioxide we exhale excites and attracts mosquitoes, which is a bummer since we can’t exactly stop breathing to prevent their stealthy attacks. But researchers have found that certain scents — some of them minty, some fruity, and some that smell like caramelized chocolate — can stun the buzzing bugs' carbon dioxide sensors, thus making it harder to find their next dinner.
