New Years resolutions

Postby Kitalpha Hart » Mon Jan 01, 2018 4:30 am

Yeah yeah yeah they usually wipe out
Especially if absurd

What's yours?
I actually made one for once
Mine is to take a side blog of mine, a journal of sorts, and actually have it update weekly on Mondays
More often will be good too, but Monday is the must update day

That's an achievable goal and a fun idea!

Mine will have to be something more like clean and organize my closet and part with all my old craft stuff etc that I don't use anymore and that is just taking up space.

I make small reasonable goals, and only a couple of them.

Last year it was:
*Exercise regularly - I did well and the start of the year, didn't do well the last half of the year.
*Read one book per month - I did really bad this year and didn't read but only read a couple books and finished only one.
* Quality time with Eagle - Our relationship has improved and I will continue to work on it.
* Work on comic - This year was tough to keep up with projects. I had to ultimately put my comic on hold because I wasn't well enough or was too busy etc.

(Actually thought I had fewer goals)

This year:
* Exercise regularly
* Draw more
* Work on cards throughout the year

I want to get back to working on my comic but not sure about making that a goal.

gimmie

I suppose clean my room should be one lol
But seeing as I started before the year flipped, seems like cheating

Yeah, once a week mandatory updates means that I'll have trouble some weeks, but others not so much. I know from experience that some weeks have more things going on than others, so that justifies potential updates other days of the week too. Dunno how many followers it'll end up getting, but it's something, at least

Book per month? I can do that easily enough but I also need more books don't have enough. I like to read anyway

Yeah, mine's on hold too. Until I get a laptop, at least
But in the meantime, Doodle Journal I can do off of my iPad so there's nothing to hold it up

I'm not very good at maintaining an exercise log or logging into a fitness site or even exercising period but I am good at logging onto Windlyn regularly so what if we had an exercise/healthy living thread for Windlyn?

We can record simple stuff we do - such as walking or stretches or more vigorous like hiking or biking or swimming or sports. Maybe aim for 10 stretches before we log on to Windlyn to motivate us? Roll the dice and that's how many leg lifts or jumping jacks or something we have to do? Would that make it more interesting?

You know, I am going to make the thread and make it a resolution for this year to keep it up.

Thanks for inspiring me!

I try to get up and move after being at my desk for an hour. It's easy to get too focused on what I'm doing and not pay attention to the time though.

If anything, my goal is to move out into an apartment and exercise more often. Mostly the former, though.

If you get a place with stairs you can walk the stairs for exercise.
