On a side note, I'm sure you could look up some cool tutorials on DeviantArt for drawing flannel shirts. It's a great site for drawing tutorials!

i usually just do a weirdish cross hatching thing and pretend that people wont be able to tell because the wrinkles and folds hide my terrible job

Fair enough, I mean.. These are legitimate answers, haha. I don't really know how I'd draw it. I have a weird cel-shaded kind of style to my art. So I'm probably not much help.

The pattern isn't called flannel, flannel is just the type of cloth.

Yeah, I know but like.. It's soft and warm, lol. And a teeny bit fuzzy. But everything I draw looks really glossy. ;3; Because I like bright colours and gloss, haha. But I'm sure I could manage.. Haha.
