Don't shop while you are hungry or you tend to buy the quick fix, fast food, high calorie foods ... just look, don't pick it up <waves hand> you don't really want to eat that.

I was going to the gym about 3 times a week but car troubles had me stopped for about a month or two now. So I’m trying to get me reliable transportation to go again.

I get my exercise from doing stuff outside.

Remember: if you don't buy it you can't eat it.

*puts wallet away*

Okay…

Training my stomach to eat smaller portions, can be challenging when I try to do a calorie deficit, which is so hard to do. Yet, counting calories is too much work imo.

I find that the kind of food I eat reduces the hunger sensation. Proteins mixed with veggies, nuts and cheeses keep the hunger away! I also found that carbs make you hungry.

Calorie deficits have their place, but the key for me has been cutting carbs out as much as possible and keeping fats low. Once I did that, the fat just started disappearing because once you don't have carbs supplying your body with glucose it's forced to convert your fat into glucose (your body converts excess dietary glucose into fat through the process of fatty acid synthesis and reverses the process when needed). Eating more glucose are the than you need day to day is literally makes and stores fat. Carbs are the most easily converted into glucose so it's easy to get too much of it. I never was good at counting calories, but I haven't needed to count them since cutting carbs. I eat pretty much as much as I want now.

Also weight lifting before cardio works better too because you can burn off more quickly within the first 15 rather the opposite way. I find that interesting. I started doing cardio then weights, but ever since hearing about it, I changed the way i work out

Routine = healthier habits ≈ weight loss = mental health

I been trying to get into a routine in the mornings. Drinking 16oz water in the morning will help you lose weight. I need to drink water more often. And get in a coffee routine (no cream/milk, just sugar), since a routine I’m getting into is for me to get up early. I’ve been getting up early since Thursday and I’ve been waking up before my alarm since then, like hours early. (As I been up since 4am and alarm set to 7 to slowly get up and get prepped for the day). I slept 3 hours and wide awake. Not healthy hours of sleep. It’s now almost 6am.

Anywho, since humans are all about routines, getting into a healthy routine is going to help a lot. Exercise in the morning, light cleaning, read a book, journal, etc. Morning routines are going to vary based on work schedules. I work seconds so I can get into a longer routine. My night routine is something I need to figure out next. Since I’ll be home at like 11:00/30. It would be a shorter routine before bed.

sounds like you have a plan figured out ... just tweak it as you go. :cheer:

I do coffee with low fat milk, no sugar. I am not a milk drinker per se so it is one way I drink my milk ...and I can't do much cheese... it would be that or ice cream & that's sugar.

Recovering from an eating disorder here, trying to get used to the fact I'm no longer size extra small. Bulking up at the gym instead.

It's a bit of a wild ride, but I'm doing better than I did at the beginning. Constantly reminding myself most of the weight on me now is a muscle, not fat. I do occasionally miss the protruding bones, though.

Many thanks. It's my third recovery attempt but by far the most successful one.
