There are actually some really good prepackaged foods that are tasty and help reduce the prep time for big meals. I like when the local grocery stores have samples to try the food before buying.

Going to run out and get the last few things for Thanksgiving dinner tonight...hopefully it won't be very busy in the stores! <now, to make enough room in the fridge!>

Okay so what we had:
Turkey
Duck
Mashed potatoes
Twice baked sweet potatoes
Gravy made from something odd prolly some form of grease cuz it solidified
Rolls
Corn
Broccoli
Mac n cheese that a certain five year old kept going after

Kinda wish the gravy hadn't been so funky cuz otherwise it would've been a good addition to the corn and potatoes

Sounds like a lot of food and food options!

I like to have a good jar gravy on hand just in case the home made gravy doesn't come out.

A cheese sauce for the veggies can be a good option other then gravy.

no cranberry sauce!?

I cooked a turkey breast and made a lot of veggies (if you use a double boiler you can cook the longer cooking root veggies, like carrots, on the bottom and add the vegetables to be steamed, like broccoli, on the top last minute)... and I know cranberry sauce has a lot of sugar added to it but I still like to eat it with my turkey!

I also ended up making home made soup with the left overs...which has been nice on these rainy days we have been having.
