Leak got fixed and other things

A couple of years ago, I posted that there was a leak. It got fixed... two years ago. Last year, had another leak, but it got fixed. It wasn't as bad as the one from two years ago.

Dad got into smoking weed. Makes my life miserable because I can't breathe. I help pay the bills, but I also can't afford rent and live on my own. ten out of ten would evict him if I could. His weed stinks too. Right now, my eyes are still burning from his smoking. I also feel like throwing up as well... ironic.

Got new puppies. Huskies. Not mine, though, I just live here and pay bills.

Not much of an update, really.

It's nice to know you are alive! Albeit not breathing so well...I feel for you there, I do not like the skunk smell of weed & it seems unfair to have to breathe it in when you help pay the bills. I know most places it is no longer illegal but there should be some kind of plan you can work out. Can he smoke in a shed or his car?

Even if its smoked outside it still drifts in. There must be some kind of fans that can be used to diffuse it? Does lighting a candle help cut the smell, candles work for fish. Can he eat the gummies instead to get the same relief? Are you able to reason with him?

Fixed leaks are good, hopefully they weren't too costly.

Puppies are cute! Something bright in your day.

If you have money to pay bills must mean you have work, that is good.

I shall hope the situation for you is able to be rectified. Do you have asthma problems? Weed seems to bother people who do. Maybe you can work something out on that angle so you don't have to be taking
inhalers?

Glad the leaks got attention. It seems plumbing gets old and leaks happen--the way of water I suppose. If you guys keep up on trying to fix them before they get too bad, it'll save a lot of issue and most importantly money!

Re: Weed, there are alternatives as Lemon suggested. Also vaporizers.

Do you have your own room? Putting a towel at the bottom of a closed door helps.

Can you afford to move if you had room mates?

My dad does what he wants. He knows full well how hard it is for me to breathe when my mom smokes, and yet, he smokes something worse. I don't think I have asthma, though. I never had to use an inhaler. Other than the stuff I mentioned, nothing really.

Dad won't use those alternatives. Not sure why he got into smoking weed, to be honest. He doesn't look cool or anything.

I can't afford to live with roommates because of reasons I can't divulge due to reasons.

Sadly, I don't know how you can make the best of a bad situation ... especially if moving out isn't an option ...and trying to talk calmly with them to come up with solutions isn't working...is it possible to get one of those air filters you plug into an outlet for your bedroom & just keep your door closed? Maybe it will help relieve some of the issues regarding the smoke?

I'm sorry your options are limited. Sometimes you have to make the best of what you have to work with and Lemon's suggestion echos mine.

I don't want to pry into your reasons that are keeping you from a little more independance (I guess I'm assuming that you're old enough and forgive me for not asking first), but you'd be suprised how many people in your life would try and help with obstacles if asked. I'm old enough now to understand (and I've made all of the mistakes!) that if you're not moving forward/improving things, you're going backwards in the grand scheme of things. Whatever we can do to help support everyone is a big part of what Winners do!

Someone once said "the only constant in life is change." I think it's true. Hang in there!

There are always ups and downs, but in the long run it always nets positive. The worst things I could ever imagine turned out to positive (took a long time to realize it tho). Life's funny like that.
