Animal Abuse

Postby Altysay » Wed Dec 31, 2014 4:38 am

I was browsing Yahoo news and came across this video. This is animal abuse plain and simple. What are your thoughts on animal abuse?

I'm looking to trade some of my extra winter items (sweaters and stuff) for the hair items like what I have on. I need them all except Pink and Black. PM me if you're interested.

Don't get me started on this subject. I despise animal abuse with a passion and can really go at someone for it.

Also if I find out someone did something to my missing cat they are going to get an extremely angry blue jay flying at them for months.

Wow I didn't expect him to act like that, he walked in so calm.
I hope that kitty didn't get hurt badly, but someone should call animal abuse if they recognize that man. Why does he even have a cat to begin with....

Right, if I EVER saw someone hurting any animal in any way I'd do some not nice things.

That's really disgusting. I wouldn't tolerate it either if I witnessed it. With an animal comes a responsibility, and that includes caring for it and keeping it safe.

Warning! The following message contains graphic detail of animal abuse. Please read with caution.
[+] SPOILER
Sadly, most countries don't have set rules or regulations set forth about what constitutes animal abuse.

My mother ran an animal rescue service when I was a little kid and we took in anything from cats, dogs, even birds and horses. And the level of abuse that the animals had suffered was appaling. But the punishment for the abusers is not very much.

Case in point: we took in a dog, a German Shepherd female. We named her Dakota, which means My Friend I'm Creek (I think) and when the pound called my mom to get her, all they knew was that the owner had been reported for abuse for being seem kicking her in the ribs. Dakota was taken away but at theound no one could get near her to check her wounds. She'd snarl and try to attack.

Cases like this my mom was called in to try. She went into the kennel and was able to get Dakota on a leash and into our car. When she got her home my brother and I could not come near her but my mom could get close enough only to feed her. Eventually she was be able to pet her.

Upon the first petting, my mom noticed that Dakota's ears were black and crusty, and scabs all over her body. Shocked, she called our family vet to the house. And Dr. Larry frequently wore a cowboy hat when he made house calls. As soon as Dakota saw him she started whining and peeing on the floor of the barn (we kept all new animals in the barn until they were assed by Dr. Larry). As soon as he took off his hat, she was waggin her tail and licking his hands.

He pulled over a pound of cigarette ashes out of Dakota's ears! And her body was covered in cigarette burns.

She had to have an emergency spaying and her ears had to be cropped in order to save them.

Eventually we found her a home. With a man who wore a cowboy hat, and whose wife smoked.

We found homes for a lot of animals. And some we had to care for until their last days as they couldn't trust humans anymore. And some, we had to put down because they just were too hurt to continue on.

Sorry for the graphic material in my message

I just can't stand the idea of anyone intentionally hurting any animal. It makes me so mad.

I refuse to watch the video. It just gives people like that more incentive to post those types of vidoes
