Sabra brand Hummus recall!is anything safe?

Postby Lemon Cheesecake » Sun Feb 15, 2015 7:36 pm

Thought it might be helpful to start a helpful tips thread.

First tip today is seven uses of hydrogen peroxide.

f you are like me, hydrogen peroxide is the bottle that is stuck way back in the cupboard. But I hope you will be as pleased as I was to find out that it actually has a lot of uses. I hate using bleach because my lungs seem to be contaminated by using it, it takes the color out of my clothes, rusts the faucets, stings the eyes... but hydrogen peroxide in many situations actually can be used in place of bleach. Hopefully the link below works for you.

What tips have you found helpful?

Hydrogen peroxide is great for getting blood stains out
o uob

.... I-I mean.. I know this cause my husband hurt himself last year at work and came home bloody xD'''
Then my cat recently hurt himself and bled everywhere, even on the carpet and this is a rented home eehhh
but peroxide got it out!

Anyway, I find that to stop the habit of cracking knuckles
it helps to wrap each finger with a bit of tape or bandaids, all the way up on the knuckles. Kind of like tying a string to your finger, it helps you remember to quit. When you go to crack your fingers you'll feel the tape and it doesn't let your fingers bend as well, and it reminds you so you like NOPE JK STOPPING

probably wont work for everyone x)

Thanks Ryvvi for dispelling the myth... something I found funny at the end of the article...

"So, if you like cracking your knuckles then by all means carry on, but just bear in the mind the conclusions of the doctors who carried out the research in the LA nursing home. They said: "The chief morbid consequence of knuckle cracking would appear to be its annoying effect on the observer."15

some people get instant relief from having adjustments... the relief for me generally is several hours later.

I also like physical therapy. I have good results from treatments with PT

In case any of you eat Kraft macaroni and cheese original - there has been a recall on packages:

"The recall only applies to the 7.25-ounce boxes of the original flavor with a "use by" date of September 18, 2015 through October 11, 2015, Kraft said. The boxes of possibly metallic mac and cheese will have a code of "C2" on the bottom, but the company said some of these boxes could be in multi-packs with varying codes."

Costco has a recall on their chicken salad rotisserie chicken purchased before Nov 20

[+] SPOILER
Consumers who purchased rotisserie chicken salad from any Costco store in the U.S. on or before Nov. 20, 2015, should not eat it and should throw it away.
Even if some of the rotisserie chicken salad has been eaten and no one has gotten sick, throw the rest of the product away.
This product has a typical shelf life of three days and is labeled “Chicken Salad made with Rotisserie Chicken” with item number 37719 on the label.
A picture of the product label is available on the Advice to Consumers page.

Of course I just bought and ate the rotisserie chicken tonight... and made some good soup out of it too! Now I don't know if I want to eat the rest or throw it out!
