There's lots to do inside the ship on a cruise ( from what I've heard, not personal experience). You don't have to worry about getting sunburned - go on the deck in the evenings

That's true, a great many things.

I burn too but SPF60 is good and water-proof if going in the water. Have to reapply it every so often (it will say). I've managed to be out in the sun but still look my pale self afterwards.

When you're just sitting/walking? Do you reapply every 30-45 minutes?

Wearing big floppy hats can help, and long but breathable clothing.

At a theme park, not even the water park part, just the main park

Amazingly I never used it at wdw and I didn't get burnt
But up here? Wear a burqa and still get burnt wtf

Poor Kit! You need a lightproof umbrella if you are going to be outside...cut an apple or some aloe vera and tap it on your burn

Roughly 10AM-4PM is the worst time to be out in the sun. I remember hearing 12noon-4PM.
