Valentine's Day Plans?

Postby Liora » Tue Jan 24, 2017 4:41 pm

CAN YOU FEEL THE LOOOOVE TONIGHT?????

Okay. Enough of my terrible singing.
What I REALLY want to know instead of whether or not you are a fan of a certain movie involving lions and meerkats and baboons and very large pigs is what you are planning to do for Valentine's Day.

It's coming up you know!

I would love to discuss different ways to make your family and friends feel special or anything else that you plan on doing that day.

I am not sure what my plans are yet. I don't like chocolate, so I hope I get candy instead!

I was going to say "what's Valentine's Day?" but "I'll be up in my room pretending I don't exist." sums me up pretty well.

Chocolate <3333
Valentine's Day in my country is in June, so in February I'll be sending punny cards to my friends, probably.

My s.o. has off work that night but he's not romantic so I don't expect anything more than being able to spend time with him.

Discount chocolate? Can't wait!

love those after holiday sales for sure!

Just because your honey isn't the commercial type of romantic it sounds like he is thoughtful to your needs and that is romantic in itself! Maybe he will watch your favorite type of shows with you and you can make him a little treat!

Prices are so expensive for Valentine's day dinners anyway - never mind flower costs - and then it is usually a long wait even if you did have reservations, so do something before hand or make some cookies or something you both enjoy!

I was thinking about a nice dinner at home.
We have a bunch of muffin mix. I could make that or at least get it started.

DISCOUNT CANDYYYYYY!!!!

I have a Valentine's Day party at school!
but we have very, very strict food rules as a district. Sooooo..... no food, no candy can be passed out. They can pass out the paper cards only and a trinket if they choose.
PTO provides 1 cookie and a water.

What's a party without food???

However, my most embarrassing grade school moment happened at a valentine's day party that had food.... maybe they are just saving children from the shame that I went through. Haha!

If you are talking to me, please ping or quote me. I get distracted and lose track of what I'm doing easily.

I think we only had cards when I was in grade school - and maybe those nasty hearts with "Be mine" on them. They taste like pepto bismol to me.

In elementary school, we made boxes for them and had to get one for everyone
The day kinda disappeared in middle school
And then reappeared in high school, only then it wasn't "you have to give a card to everyone"
It was "you can buy a rose to be taped to the recipient's locker"
I never got one. I, quite frankly, didn't care
