Make your own face masks.

Joann's fabric store has free patterns to make your own face masks but if you are feeling really ambitious they have a Make to Give program where you can make face masks or scrubs for local medical or hospital facilities.

Face Mask Pattern

Materials:
Main Fabric (cotton), 13" x 7", prewash
Lining Fabric (cotton or flannel), 12" x 7", prewash
Bias Tape, 2" wide 6" long, prewash (Optional, as nose wire sleeve)
Nose wire, 6" (Optional)
Elastic cord for ear loops 16", or, shoelace/ribbon/cord with at least 44" length for the head tie
Face Mask Sewing Patterns; Choose your option to download and print separately

Here's one for making a mask with non-woven polypropylene
*Do not use NWPP that is waterproof or insulated.

Fancy a trip to the theatre? Well, you can still do that from the comfort of your own home. Every Thursday a group of actors from across the world perform a Shakespeare play live on YouTube!

Since the actors are all confined to their own homes some of their props are creative. It's been some of the funniest performances I've ever seen.

All previous productions are available to watch so you don't have to worry about missing a show.

Has anyone tried making face masks?

A colleague of mine has been making them and has been giving them away for free. She has so many lovely patterns.

What to learn a new skill? You can for free with FutureLearn. FutureLearn has lots of different courses to offer from universities and experts from across the world.

I'm currently learning about basic web development. I've upgraded to a paid one so I can get a certificate at the end of the course - it will be handy for university applications. On Monday, I'll be starting a Tudor history course. I'm excited because one of the educators is Dr Suzannah Lipscomb.
