old batteries can be dangerous though... the other stuff just takes up room... I gave away a bunch of VHS and then saw an article by Kim Kammando saying don't get rid of your VHS before finding out if it is worth anything on ebay...and she mentions the DIsney ones can sell for around $150 or more...and what do you think I got rid of? lol
MOST old batteries are a hazard... some are recyclable and many are not. Below are a couple links to look at. Never mix or store different types of batteries together - they can become combustible. Ever see the corrosion on the end of batteries? It is quite toxic.
Ugg, I just found some exploded batteries in a piece of electronics I forgot about. I guess I forgot to take them out the last time I used it. I cleaned up as much as I can and it still works, but I hate when that happens...
I really don't collect anything... it's more like I accumulate things.

I like to collect sand...I try to take a small sample from different beaches...sometimes I have people bring me back a sample for me...I have some from Australia!
I used to collect glass animals and rocks when I was little. I still have my rock collection somewhere. I got to one of those "Rock of the month" club things for Christmas, haha.
