I saw the cutest thing for a garage on pinterest!! you put eyes and teeth on it and it immediately becomes a monster house!

Actually, its amazing the simple ideas people have come up with that can really put a fun twist using accessible stuff.
I'd do something for work, but I have to be careful because it can't be scary for the kids so some of the craft ideas are cool.

People in neighborhoods I visit have started putting up decorations and I saw one with the monster garage idea!! It is so cute!

I really like the spiders in lemon's link. :D The eyes take the cake. B)

One of my friends at work made these super adorable (and delicious) little truffle ghosts last year. I'll see if I can get the recipe from her.

whaaat? I always thought Halloween was "English" related (well, Celtic maybe?) and Australia having come from English colonization (well, I know the Dutch colonized Australia too) that Australia would do Halloween. I wonder how many other countries don't? Guess that prompts me to look up the origins of Halloween.

not really! major shopping centres try and hype it up to sell merch, but most celebration is just young people looking to dress up and drink
If any children wanted to trick or treat most houses they would go to would have no candy, because yeah no one does anything

It's not really DIY Decoration, but it could be decoration for your mouth?? Haha

ANYWAY, I made "Jack-O-Lantern Stuffed Peppers" for dinner last night and they were so cute! I was going to post a pic, but photobucket is being a jerk.

I should actually change the header - especially since the idea for the thread came because of decorating food.

One cool food idea that I saw was a "puking pumpkin" where you take a pumpkin, carve it like you would a jack-o-lantern, but make the face so that it looks like it's puking and then place guacamole or some other dip in mouth and let it ooze out

even if you aren't doing anything, the ideas are fun to look at, and talk about what you've seen - we were doing that at work.
