She still has her wits about her, physically is good (other than arthritis) but can't see or hear very well. But is truly an inspiration on how she doesn't give up & endures.
I've never been to a hundred year old birthday! She had her hearing aids in so was able to hear when we talked to her. AND she was out there cleaning up with us afterwards too !!
Her philosophy is to be grateful for the day & try to find a way to improve the community she is in. She was outside at 6 am this morning - on her birthday - cleaning up palm frons that had fallen on the sidewalk near where she lives so that nobody would trip on them! That's how she started her day, looking out for others. Quite an inspiration.
Hope all is well with you Ashton, how long did it take for you to get better? Seems like people are being sick for a long time this round ... like weeks.
winter makes everyone sick due to changes in temp, poor diets, pre-existing conditions that lower immune systems and not wearing proper gear for the weathers

This was the weekend to celebrate senior friends birthday's. Very nice getting to celebrate one of our community turning 100 - I hope I am as mentally alert & physically active as she is if I ever get to be that age! She has gardened most of her life so I hope that is a good sign!
Beautiful day, I am going to finish it by going out & pulling some weeds & planting some bulbs. I haven't heard of the plant before but the picture looks nice & it says deer resistant.
