Do you live in a smaller city?

I live in northern Michigan, on the west side by the pinky. Our city is about 15k in population and we're a popular tourist city without being too commercial. I love where I live, I could just do without the snow and cold winters.

you have a smaller population then us but our shopping just isn't that good - we either have super expensive for the tourists or not much option (kohl's but I am never lucky there. MAcy's about 30 min away. I miss Mervyn's)

We have a mall that is kind of outdated but has some decent clothing shops as well as some of the bigger names; JC Penney's, Macy's, Old Navy, TJ Maxx, etc. We have a Walmart and Meijer too. I usually buy shirts at Goodwill when I can find them, and then comfortable jeans that don't cost an arm+leg where I can find them.

Actually we do have some pretty good thrift shops that once in awhile have some cool stuff. And we do have TJ Max and Ross fairly near by so it is just a matter of going through all the racks. I get a little claustrophobic at our Ross because it is so cluttered.

Yeah, I'm a cheapo. I hate spending more on clothes than I think is reasonable. So in the major stores I really only buy sale and clearance items. Then I rely on thrift stores and wear my wardrobe and shoes into oblivion.

Mmhmm, my current pair of casual flats I wore out the inside and have replaced it was inserts twice. Now I'm finally looking for a new pair, but I'll only buy if they are comfortable AND on affordable.

I just got a new pair of shoes... but i always wear my shirts and jeans until i cant wear them no more.... Meaning: I wear the same clothes all the time until somebody says i should probably change....
