It's fine.

I might come up with a backup competition plan that doesn't require so many people to give away the wings.

But, I'm sure once the carnies leave, more people will find other ways to get the wings. Some might be trying to get it from the fortune teller herself.

yeah, the fortune teller gave 'em to me after I cried and called her a meany.
I was so ecstatic and surprised.
then I went to the guessing game and got my first prize ever from there, a balloon.
