Supposedly the hospitals have to bring in money to cover the cost of those that don't have money or insurance ...but I still don't think it is right they price gouge. One Iburpohen is $10 !?!? A pill!??? But they won't let you bring in your own. They charge you for the kleenix whether you use it or not because it was opened and in your room??

Doctor's do have a lot of stress and definitely in the sue happy country like the US. They're liability insurance is super costly. A Doctor can be paid a salary/ hourly if they work for someone else but an opportunity to make more if they have their own practice, although then they also have the overhead costs. All in all though they make a good wage.

Yes, that is the problem. What happened to the days when a Dr or nurse or researcher did it because they wanted to help people and to save lives? You know, those days when they got paid in chickens or product like a trade or just volunteered their time for the goodness of mankind...
