True so far I like my team I have though only have three Pokemon! XD

Honestly, I wouldn't mind doing a bit more with my team, but I don't want any of them to die, I'm so close to the end, and training a new pokemon would take so long that i'd probably give up on such a thing.

Yeah that is how I am so I usually keep my team exactly as they are when I start out. XD

I hate training weaker pokemon when my team is already leveled up. I think that's part of the reason why I get my team so early. /huffs

I normally change things up, but I just find it a bit of pain to so later in game. xD

Hmmmm my team can vary at any point in the game.... Like if I suddenly get an urge to have a dragon type then I go back and get one and level it up xD

Haha I played through Y with just Four Pokemon as a Main and Two Back Ups. One was Bibarel as a HM slave and the other was Klefki. XD

These days it isn't hard to get through a game with less, though I've never tried it. But with all the Pokemon with different types and abilities to learn different type moves, if you chose carefully you could play the games with a smaller team than 6.

Well take sapphire/ruby for example. You could definitely have a Ralts evolution on your team all the way through because it learns grass moves, psychic, fairy, etc. That grass move will get you through two gyms alone. The fairy portion helps with a gym and a league member. And its a strong sp atker as is, so it can pretty much take down a lot. You don't really need a water Pokemon except for a hm slave.... A ground type Pokemon comes in handy, thus a flygon is decent since he can also learn quite a few other handy moves besides ground and dragon. And something with dark type is great for the entire game as well. And maybe fire to help combat some of stevens steel?

Honestly I feel a Water type is needed more then the Ground type since the Electric Gym is before the Fire gym. You can't catch a Ground type before the third gym unless you started with Mudkip.

I've never used a ground type for the electric gym.... But I meant ground for the fire gym and something else.... Though now I can't remember.... Darn brain....

Fire is only weak to Water, Ground and Rock type Pokemon. Ground is good against the Rock Gym, Fire Gym, and Electric Gym. The Flying Gym destroys it and it can be useful in the Double Battle against Tate and Liza if the Lunatone and Solrock don't have Levitate which I think they do!
