They've been doing some them to commemorate it but not that much.

I tried playing 7, 8, 9, and X-1. I have X-2 and 15 as well but haven't touched those yet.

I like the gameplay of Final Fantasy well enough. I actually like turn based RPGs more than action games.
But I never particularly favored FF stories nor characters. To me, they're pretty bland and I actually disliked 8 because of Rinoa and Squall.

I know that's most probably an unpopular opinion but those are my honest thoughts. I plan to try FF15 though because people say it's the game that can hook non-FF fans.

Oh and for favorite character, I like Zidane the most. I played 9 long ago so I don't remember much but I do remember liking Zidane.

Yeah the stories aren't the best but can be fun if not taken too seriously. I like VI the most, I think the characters are great in it. It was also my first RPG. I couldn't get into VIII.
Final Fantasy has a long history and is the most well known JRPG series but that doesn't make it the best. I think Suikoden, particularly Suikoden II has a better storyline.

Ahhh I actually play games for the story line mostly. I mean gameplay is also important (that's why I can never play strategy RPGs for an extended period of time; I'm not exactly a patient person when it comes to gaming). But the story/characters are usually the deciding factor for making me stay.

I like Persona much more than Final Fantasy. I never played Suikoden unfortunately. Is it from Square Enix too? I'll Google later.

In terms of Square/ Square Enix games, Chrono Cross is the most interesting one I've played. Unfortunately, I got busy and was never able to finish it.

Prolly cuz it's loosely parodying the first four games and thus isn't taking itself seriously

Suikoden is by Konami. Have you played Chrono Trigger? Chrono Cross is a sort of sequel to it but only loosely.
I've only play a little of the first Shin Megumi Tensei and couldn't get into it. I haven't played any of the later games dubbed Persona. Not sure how much change there has been to the series.

So I tried playing FFXV last night and the night before.
This game is really testing my non-existent directional skills. I swear I suck at it lol.

Never played Chrono Trigger even if I've only heard good things about it.
I'm also probably not gonna play it any time soon too. My current laptop cannot handle any form of gaming. Even Android emulators overheat it.

As for Persona, it's really one of the best series I've played. P5 (Persona 5) is the best. But I'm not really much of a gamer tbh. And I actually suck at action games so that's one factor that makes me favor turn-based RPGs over the other stuff in the lot

Pretty sure you can at least check gameplays of P5 to check if it interests you. It's pretty popular after all

My friend got the ludicrous monster wheels for the card and made it all bling with gold and purple. Honestly, it looks terrible, but they seem to get a kick out of it.
FFXV is amazing.
