Basically Death died that day for no reason and was mad because he lost a spare set of dark matter stuff so he choked a dragon to death for revenge.

Me: What's Minecraft? Well, I'll tell you aaaaaaall about it... Minecraft is basically the best game ever made. It's a bit blocky, but it's awesome nonetheless. Basically it's... *proceeds to ramble on for hours and hours* and then...
Them: *starts to walk away*
Me: Wait! Where are you going!? Come back! I haven't gotten to the best part!
Them: *walks away faster*
Me: Aw darn it! Oh well! *turns toward another stranger who is passing by* hey, have you heard of a game called Minecraft?

Has anyone ever tried playing those minecraft knock-off games that they post on those online game-compilation websites like GirlsGoGames, Y8 games, etc.

I watched a minecraft youtuber play it (video here) and... oof, to say the least xD (some of them were actually kind of half okay-ish)

I've played two knock offs of it before, back when I couldn't afford the real thing. One of them was a mix of creative and survival, and had paint guns and throwable bombs, and the other only allowed you to build with templates. I enjoyed them both, but once I got the real thing, I realized they don't hold a candle to its brilliance

Ohh, the knock-off with the paint guns and throwable bombs sounds interesting! Was it more like a "minecraft-inspired" game?

I tried playing a minecraft knock-off called "Block Craft" and it was basically the dollar-store version of Minecraft, very funny to attempt to play though

Possibly. I'm not sure. All I remember is I couldn't fly, but I had unlimited resources (except for some locked options) and I could just throw bombs endlessly. I loved tossing them in water because they'd float along until they hit the shore.

Oh gosh, definitely the pigs. They looked eerily humanoid-ish (may be just me), but at least the pig wasn't laggy!
