If you want to take a picture of the stitching, I'm sure we could help you digure out how to replicate it. C:

Sometimes you don't need to pull the garment apart, it's a matter of flipping it inside out and folding it right.

I've pretty much thought of most everything I could do with the jeans to work with the machine without taking them apart, but it just wouldn't turn out right. /shrugs/

if you feel comfortable with it you should post some of the plushies you have made!

What kind of embroidery do you do? I've started a few projects but never finished any, it takes a lot of patience!

OMG sewing thread. <333 Faving for interest. :3
My favorite thing to do in sewing is remaking thrifted stuff into different stuff. :3 You can always find lots of different items for fabric and patterns. Thrifting is awesome. I just got a bunch of black fabric with a suedey feel to it, that I might make into some pillows or maybe a long jacket.

Cool!
I wish I could go thrift store shopping but I get exhausted so easily.
I was never very good at sewing but I did make a summer dress in my high school Home Ec class. Then couldn't find it when I went to pick it up after it had been graded.

Oh man, that really sucks. I’ve had stuff lost on me before, and some things that the teachers flat-out kept and wouldn’t give back. :/

So after I clean up my room, repair Tsuruhime again, and have space, I'm gonna work on three:
Tsuruhime's anime version. Found a hakama pattern I'll have to size down, and remake the vest template
Oichi (pipe cleaners again, but she's got a couuple spots, one visible, one 95% not where I'll be using cloth)
Summer Blizzard. Which I'm gonna have to almost entirely make. Yay actual armor

Tsuruhime anime will be fairly easy, seeing as her anime version has far less detail
Oichi and Summer Blizzard are much harder, former since she's got tails that are different on both sides, latter cuz he has armor and a large cape
I've got others listed too but these three are gonna be worked on next
Tsuruhime anime may be done sometime next year, pending motivation. Fortunately she's vest, skirt, and chest bow, I can reuse about half my pipe cleaner cosplay (dress, sleeve pieces, quiver) for her
Oichi...probably won't debut until 2020. 2019 if I get lucky
Summer Blizzard about the same as Oichi...provided I can find the right material. Elsewise, even later

wouldn't it last longer if you sewed the whole outfit rather then making it with the pipe cleaners? The pipe cleaners turned out cool last time but it seems so much work and so costly.

It is neither cheap nor easy no matter what way you do it, unless you go reallllllly basic, like Kim Possible, where you can just buy the clothes in store
Durability is about the same either way
Plus, as I found by the amount of transfixed and awed people, pipe cleaner cosplays are a novelty, and well worth it

Oh, I love the Great British Sewing Bee. Wish there was another season.

As for sewing itself, I've done a few minor things in school, then completely forgot about it for years, and just recently got back into sewing. So far I have redesigned a simple store bought shirt by modifying the sleeves and adding sturdy black straps and D rings, and I also made a big drawstring bag for my wool from scratch. Next project will probably be a plushie from Choly Knight's free pattern section.
