Origami requires memory and precision... I have neither of those things. Can't be arsed to remember the exact steps, and when you fold the paper a few degrees over, suddenly, the whole thing looks ruined.
Actually it's sorta like mathematics in a way, isn't it..

I did make a hundred cranes on my own before though, as a gift to a friend. The ones at the top were my best, and as it went down it got crappier and crappier until it hardly resembled a crane xD

BUT ORIGAMI IS FUN. JUST TEDIOUS.
(also it's just folded paper, which turns into rubbish eventually.)

I've got an origami book and all it is filled with at this point is half done projects. I swear I can start them but never finish them. Some of them get so damn complicated. The only one I can manage to this day is a swan. That's it. I am always impressed when peeps can pull them off.

Those swords would make a great party favor for a kids party.

Silverberry, are they made with one piece or 2 pieces of paper?

More importantly, can you make sheaths to cover the swords! ;)

I'm planning to give them away as bookmarks!
The big one at the center is from one whole square of paper. The rest are from 1/2 paper.

Yes - for the swords from the 1/2 paper at least.

my only origami advice is to find a piece you really want to do and keep making it until you end up with a passable piece lmao but for real, precision gets more important the more complex the origami is. I line up the corners first, then pinch the edges, before fully folding it to make sure it's aligned. Then just gotta make sure the fold is as crisp and flat as possible, and that it stays flat while doing the next fold, since the next step may jostle the previous fold a bit.

I have the absolute worst time doing any "sink" steps tho :scream: :scream: :scream:

I bought some origami paper but it is too pretty to use if I mess it up!

Those will make cool book marks!
