Valentines Day Crafts!!

Postby Mouse » Sun Jan 05, 2020 5:45 pm

I know I'm a little early  but I love making handmade gifts for Valentines Day! I usually make cards but I was thinking about doing something a little different this year like polymer clay magnets? Possibly! I'm not sure.

Do you guys have any craft ideas for v-day??

magnets are fun! There are some cute heart shaped recipes online as well.

I'm not ready for Valentine's day yet!

Seeing as the last time I had to do anything about it I was in elementary school, no hilarious how the day is mostly ignored in middle school up front and then in high school it's okay to celebrate again, though not in the enforced "everyone gets something" manner of elementary school

I usually like to make something for my boyfriend and my dad. I am probably going to make something for his parents too. I usually take it as a day to kind of appreciate someone I love!

I have some polymer clay left over from another project, but I can't think of anything appropriate for v-day other than hearts. Any suggestions?

I wish I was artistic enough to pull that off! The clay doesn't really lend itself to fine structures. Perhaps it could be done, but I'd have to make it quite large. Thanks for the suggestion!

not a craft, but for a Valentine treat I've made rice crispie squares and formed them with heart shaped cutters. They can be partially dipped in a pink chocolate or (doesn't have to be pink if it is heart shaped), or add some food die to the melting marshmallows or use pink marshmallows to give the crispie a pink color.

Short bread cookies shaped in heart shape work well as well. You can add decorations on top to reflect the "heart" candy that have sayings on them ( be mine, I love you etc), and give those as gifts.
