Recently, I've been reading Elantris by Brandon Sanderson. Haven't made much headway, since I keep getting sidelined by readings for uni, but it's really good so far. It's a fantasy novel, and in it a formerly-powerful, magical city is stricken with a sort of curse. I've read some of Sanderson's other work (the Mistborn books, and the last few Wheel of Time books), and he's really enjoyable.

If I were to recommend books I've finished reading, I would say ... Trash, The Island of the Blue Dolphins, The Giver (I've yet to see the movie XD), Gathering Blue, The Messenger, Shakespear Stealer, and The Scorpio Races. I've finished these books years ago, but they're all still my favorites~
They each have their charm and have all touched my heart in one way or another.

I haven't had the chance to read new books though >.<
