You don't have to just read...you can also watch Victorian era period pieces.

Cilencio Cerbera You can watch TV series and movies if books aren't your thing. :) It's ashame that you never got to meet her. She was awesome.

I saw a movie called Enola Holmes on Netflix last week. It's about Sherlock Holmes' little sister. It was such a fun movie. As it seems to be set in Sherlock's early career it's set in the Victorian period so it counts.

Update: I watched Enola Holmes. I really liked it! I didn't really like the casting for Sherlock, but I understand choice in relation to the story's world and intended audience. A totally minor critique.

The actress playing Enola is very likeable and I predict she can go very far in the biz.

Thank you for the suggestion!

I tried watching the "Murdoch Mysteries" a Canadian detective mystery show. A little amateurish but I loved the clothing & looking at the background of how they lived. We take so much for granted now!

Sherlock didn't feel very Sherlocky in this movie. Not just the choice of actor but Sherlock actually had emotions in this? Lol. Enola was wonderfully casted. I think you're right - she'll probably be appearing a lot more movies. :)

I've not heard of that show.
