I loved the Lord of the Rings trilogy, watched it several times but was a little disappointed that they drew out the Hobbit, I haven't been able to finish them yet. I've watched the cartoon Hobbit and the original Hobbit movie so maybe I was expecting something along those lines.

YESs
michael fassbender is my favourite actor so i was really happy he was rochester
i did end up liking the older version better still though, not sure which version it was exactly but i felt it was closer to the book
it may have been a mini series though so it could afford to be longer

Ryvvi (or anyone) have you watched the series "Larkrise to Candleford" ? I borrowed it from the local library. It is a period piece, I loved it! I think it was 5 season?

See if you can get this link and if you click on the seasons it will tell you about the episodes. It is set in the 19th century and deals with the interactions between the country people and the towns people. I love the story lines, so many of them made me cry and I couldn't stop watching to find out what came next. It is set in England so I would think you could get it over there where you are Ryvii. Canada gets the BBC and PBS shows, not sure if Australia does.

I just say Jupiter Ascending on Friday. It was okay, but there was forced romance scenes. Also I saw it in 3d and for the first part of the film they had to pause it to correct the 3d.
