Look at my Paintings!!

I want to know any painters on here. I took an art class in High school and I fell in love with painting. I was excited to go to the class because painting is such a stress reliever. I haven't started any paintings yet. I been looking at youtube videos and pinerest for inspiration.
So what is your tips if you have any or just to talk about paintings and what is your greatest piece?

I'm not very good at painting acrylic. I'm horrible at mixing colors. >.< But I do want to get into watercolors. I use watercolor pencils to give a slight effect. I don't have any good examples though.

i am not good with watercolor. i end up getting the paper too wet

Gizzie isn't very good at painting I'm more of a tyedyer, sketcher, pixelest, crafter, and sewing ^.^

I don't paint very well either, I mean, painting things other than my hands. haha. Sounds like we're all paint-challenged.

If I remember from my art classes when I was younger, when you paint with water colours it can kinda help to "ghost paint" (not sure the name) over where you want to paint-- but just with water!
then when the page is a little damp still, you add the colour. I guess it helps the paint stay where you want it and helps the paint blend more evenly or something?

Also important to have the right kind of paper. Even with using slight water to dampen my watercolor pencils I have to use watercolor paper (thicker paper).

My best to worst medium in paint, watercolour, gouache, acrylic and oils. xD
Sometimes I feel like acrylic dries so quickly it takes forever to get smooth blending, and sometimes not even smooth at all. I haven't tried oils before either but watercolour is always nice especially when you wanna mix media because colour pencils and markers go well together with it.

I just got into watercolour painting these past couple of months. There's a lot of helpful tutorials on YouTube these days - I found that having the right type of paper and a ceramic mixing tray really helps improve your painting. I don't have a lot of time to paint but I hope I can get good at it.

How was your trip to California @Bassy? (I think it has been one of our cooler temperature summers so far).

We didn't go to Anime Expo in L.A. this year, did you end up getting a day pass and going at all?
