I really like how you do hair. I draw a lot of portraits and hair always gives me a hard time. Shading it, I mean.

What programs did you use to make those drawings? The last one looks like paint.

Did you have to buy it or download it for free?

I have experience with paint.net (which resembles a basic photoshop). All Adobe programs are ridiculously expensive. I'm trying to get Flash and Dreamweaver so I can build games and websites more easily. My college has them and they really do simplify things.

I really cannot stress enough that you shouldn't use Flash or Dreamweaver. In short: Flash is dying (look into HTML5 and JavaScript instead!) and Dreamweaver writes terrible code for you.
You'd be much better off just using notepad or notepad++ to program. Your code will be better and it is free.

Thanks for the advice. I don't have a lot of experience with either, so I wouldn't know. The games I have made in Flash so far are dress-up games. When I took a basic web design course, all we used was Dreamweaver. When you say notepad, do you mean the default program that comes with your computer?

Also it's good to know dreamweaver. I'm not a graphic design major, but a lot of my friends were. Some of them that I've kept in touch with said they've been using it in their new jobs.

That's exactly the notepad I am talking about!
nodepad ++ is a separate program that is notepad specifically for coding. It will do syntax highlighting and gives you a nicer environment.
If you're fancy with unix, you can code from your terminal with vim or emacs (or whatever you like) too.

If you want to get into using javascript, codeacademy.com has some really good intro tutorials for it. After you get that down a bit, there's a whole community of people using HTML5 for games and constantly making tutorials about what they do.
