This is a fun fact I learned when I was a kid! My elementary school had a really good science program, and in first or second grade we did a unit on oceans and sea life. The science teacher brought in a ton of different ocean artifacts- shells, sea stars, kelps, and some shark eggs. We got to learn about the marine food chain, ocean ecosystems, and some folklore. We even went on a tour of a small aquarium where we got to experience a touch tank with live creatures- cucumbers, snails, sea stars, anemones and a couple other things. We also got to see and learn about some sharks and other local marine life in the care of the facility. This is one of many items in Windlyn that are something special or impactful from my life that I wanted to share with the world
