that sounds nice! I think in Japan Valentine's day is about spending time with friends and family anyway...that's how I like it best!

Dizzy: that's what I thought until I started hearing stories from people coming back from Japan...so it sounds more like a place you want to visit but not necessarily live.

@maro: oh yeh i know. i'm way more interested in the japanese culture than the anime side of it anyways.

i definitely want to live there though ;w; it would probably too hard to settle in tbh, so it's just a dream of mine
but i do have two friends who lived there for ~5 years and it worked out really well for them, and my boyfriend has a few penpals over there who happily tell him to come over and also help him with his japanese

i'm actually learning japanese right now so i can visit there sometime this year and get a good feel for it :>

I have always wanted to learn Japanese. Never got around to making an attempt though.

it's a difficult language! although i guess learning any new language is pretty difficult xD

Yeah, I took French in high school (cause they only had Spanish or French options).
I don't remember much of it though. >_<

oh dizzy honey i didn't mean the anime side of things xD i just meant as an example of how japanese culture is portrayed in anime and other media that they produce.


for the most part the country is still heavily behind technologically and some places are pretty closed off towards foreigners well >v>;
