I never played that generation. I didn't really get to start till Generations Five's Black and White.

I only started with yellow but i played blue and red on a emulator on my computer.

I thought about emulators but I have no idea how to maneuver in those games. XD

Well the gameboy emulator is awesome and i love the turbo function but for nds there are many games that have problems or are slow. The PS and Nintendo 64 ones functions perfectly too but the ps 2 emulator is often slow.

I never lost the first battle! And at higher levels elemental affinity doesnt matter as much.

Besides if one go for a catch them all method ones pokemon is always several levels above anything.

Oh this is very true. I have always been higher then Grant with my Froakie because he is just awesome.

I usually go for a pokemon that is one of the starting elements+fighting that is a pretty good combination.

I've played pretty much every pokemon game x.x

I did that with Chespin since he is Grass/Fighting in his final form but Froakie just kicks ass!

I started with Fenniken, I thought it was the cutest. Didn't really do any background on it's evolutions tho.

I only knew because I watched Marrilands play through because I didn't think I would get the game. XD
