Remade a bake my mom used to make, but a slightly healthier version. Aka replaced potatoes with swede.
- boiled swede until soft, then mashed with some butter and salt; - fried pork mince with some onion and tons of different spices, because I'm a spice junkie; - layered a baking dish with mince, green peas, swede mash and grated cheese.
Baked it all for 15 minutes and boom. Better than my mom's, I daresay.
OH!! That's what swede vegetable is: "Rutabaga or swede is a root vegetable"
It is similar to turnip! I love turnips cooked & mashed,(with lots of butter).
I've never eaten rutabaga cooked, just raw. They have a slightly different flavor. I prefer turnip cooked...add with cooked carrot or parsnip ... yum!!
The other day, I cooked a few hotdogs with cheese in it and ate it with rice and fried egg for breakfast. Its one of my favorite breakfast foods next to Tapa :0
