I made banana raisin oatmeal muffins. Mmmm. Tonight I'm thinking of making some lemon custard with shortbread crust. I wonder if blueberries are in season rn... Maybe I'll just use that berry syrup I made and make it a lemon swirl custard.

I'm about to make my dinner. Some fancified insta ramen (using miso and seaweed in the water for a quick broth) with some sliced pork and a fried egg on top. Debating some cheese too...

Do you just make a regular custard & add lemon ? It looks creamier then say a lemon filling.

Ah - we don't have a set recipe for this, since we just eyeball the measurements, and tend to add or change things up, but this is a good starting point. Generally, chicken is swapped for the pork, and it's boiled and cut beforehand, and instead of water, we use chicken stock. But other meats can be used, like ham or sausage. Celery can also be added as a vegetable - we usually add green beans to ours.

Ykno, I never thought much about the difference between a curd and a custard. You're right - it is a bit different! Turns out curds are more of a focus on the juice. There's also no milk, but plenty o' butter. Recipe I use. I've made that recipe about 4 or 5 times now. So yum.

Also I just made myself coffee to get through the morning. Wheee.

I'm broke and barely have food, so hot dogs and rice is my struggle meal at the moment. xD

Just regular hot dogs, white rice, and ketchup. Tastes amazing lol.
