Well, the sooner the better. Gotta use the extra time for the gifts.

I still gotta look things up and buy them for my friends and such,

I hate trying to think up of presents to give because I'm not that creative... Esp since my dad is hard to shop for since he says he wants something and buys it himself anyway...

Ugh my dad is the same way. His birthday is also in December and he ends up treating himself sometimes to things on sale. I try to just get him a gift card to somewhere he will shop.

My family makes me write out a list and have it ready ASAP. I'm expecting to be asked about it after we eat on Saturday. I've actually gone overboard with wishlists so this year it was harder to narrow it down XP

I wish cooking and baking didn't exhaust me so much or I'd make something.

I know Christmas is still a month away. I really want to know what I want to make.

I'm thinking cookies, but I am also looking into other treats. I don't want to do cupcakes again, unless there's something I like that are cupcakes, but I did cupcakes on Halloween and I'm kinda sick of them.

I was thinking making gingerbread men, but instead of gingerbread, using sugar cookies. Like, I don't care much for gingerbread and you know those cookie cutter cookies that are usually sugar cookies? Yeah, same idea, just in the shape of gingerbread men.

How about snowmen sugar cookies? Candy cane cookies are always popular too!

Perhaps a mix of shapes.

I might also try making fudge. I found a fudge recipe I like.

I like shortbread cookies and they are perfect consistency for cookie cutters and you can decorate them too!

I love visiting the fudge shop - you can get some yummy ideas for making your own!

It's always fun to make cookies on all kinds of shapes.
Have you decided if you are making fudge or not?

I make fudge, yes.

I already made some and it turned out good!

I'm making that fudge for my friends Christmas party and regular ole fudge for family at Christmas because apparently my dad doesn't like the hot chocolate in the fudge.... even though I can't personally taste it.

peppermint pieces in chocolate fudge would be yummy too! I like how you are making gifts! Are you wrapping them in parchment paper with a bow or how are you decorating them?

Idk. I decorated jars for my friends and am going to put reindeer chow (chex, m&ms, popcorn with melted white chocolate) inside the jars and the remainder in a bowl for us to snack out of. I might saran wrap them. Or however you spell that.

so how did the baking go? My shortbread did not come out so good, I think because I used powder sugar instead of granulated. They might be better if I was to frost them.

Hope you had a nice Christmas!

The fudge wasn't good enough for me to share.

Granted, I liked them, but they are kinda bitter and it wasn't too satisfactory.

But that's what I get for using the first recipe I find.
