Avatar The Last Airbender/Legend of Korra

I need to know...any fans out there? I grew up watching avatar the last airbender, thats what got me to like the legend of korra. I am trying to do a fan fic about a new avatar named Iria. It is to be set in more modern times. Though the Legend of Korra topped that, I decided to move it a few more years ahead and use the school system, adding mobile devices, and more of today's time but like early 2000's.

The live action sucks. I wasted $20 to see it. The cartoon version is much better.

He had the movie "Signs" which wasn't bad and he directed and played in it. But he should never do the avatar movies.

I watched all of the Avatar the Last Airbender and the first season of the Legend of Korra. I need to catch up on the episdoes I missed in Korra.

OMG, yes! The live action was horrid!!! (Like how horrid Eragon was compared to its book! Horrid! HORRID!)

I haven't watched the movie but I absolutely loved the Last Airbender and Legend of Korra. Even though, they sort of felt like the timeline wasn't related at all. Mostly because the art style changed quite a bit from being a Ghibli western cartoon look to a western anime CGI look. The other thing was Korra and Aang felt like complete different characters, opposites in fact in terms of personality (well they are) but they were raised completely differently as well. I can't decide who I liked more but the character development that happened to Korra was really nice. ovo

If there's anything that keeps me from watching Korra is Korra herself. If you don't like the main character, you're screwed. I mean, yeah, she does get better as the series progresses, but I can't even watch the first season because of the way she acted. Yeah, she's a teenager, but she started off very annoying. I just don't like Korra.

Love triangle was so unnecessary, but I'm p happy she got together with Asami in the end.
I agree w/ monkey on disliking Korra at first though, haha. I think I preferred the characters in aang's series better, especially toph >v<

Yea I really hated Korra at first, but she ended up growing on me. She went from being the self claimed "unbeatable Avatar" to learning to accepting aid and help.

I found the love triangle really confusing, but yea that ending though I really wished they kissed because as official the animators said the pairing was, some people weren't convinced.
Omg Toph didn't change at all xD her personality was exactly the same. I find it funny that she was so mature in front of her daughters but in front of Korra she was acting like her younger self.
