I don't recall trying apple jelly, but it makes sense...we have a lot of apples grown around here, I wonder why they don't emphasize it more?

I love air conditioning on a hot day!

Oh yes, especially after mowing the grass. It is actually not humid outside so I liked it better. Made sure I drank water to keep hydrated.

You mow the grass? Do you have a ride on mower?

No, we use push mowers. It does take a little while though.

I'm impressed! That's quite physical--especially in the heat!

I've never used a riding mower, always the push ones.

I kind of don't have a big enough yard space for it either. Without the garden, shed, and trees, it would be useful.

I'm in California and only rich people have lawns (no water).

It seems like lawns have become a thing of the past, most yards are paved so people can have tables and such set up on them now, or ball courts for the kids. And it seems like no one talks about putting a pool in anymore since the up keep is so expensive.

Land is expensive as the world is over populated, some people just don't realize it. I just wonder when there will be no space to build houses and how the world could change.

I don't know anyone in HK with a lawn but I wished I had space to plant bushes. *o* I want a giant basil and mint bush so I can make pesto and mint tea.

Is the pesto in combination with the mint in the tea or separate? lol
Have you tried growing the plants inside? I find herbs do better in pots anyways, so the gophers don't get them.

I have seen people near me adopt drout resistant lawn decor? layout? I am not sure the word. Theres mostly sand and cacti. It is fitting though, after all, California is a desert!
