We're having a massive buffet a week on Wednesday at work. I don't think I'll need to bring in lunch that day. It's going to be so unhealthy.

It's not sick to get sick.

One of my favourite things is Christmas, and Christmas music. Like Last Christmas by Wham.

Looking at the list of what my colleagues and I are bringing in - it's not going to be very healthy. I'll be good. I try to avoid weight gain as much as possible this time of year.

I like it.

I'm playing Whamageddon this year. 7 days in and I've managed to avoid Wham's Last Christmas so far.

why is it there are so many more delicious foods during the holiday season?? (Some I haven't even heard of or tried before!).

What are your favorite holiday dishes?

Anyone make Mincemeat pie?

What is mincemeat you ask?
Mincemeat is a mixture of chopped dried fruit, distilled spirits and spices, and sometimes beef suet, beef, or venison. Originally, mincemeat always contained meat. Many modern recipes contain beef suet, though vegetable shortening is sometimes used in its place.
Mincemeat developed as a way of preserving meat without salting or smoking 500 years ago. The filling comes from the medieval tradition of spiced meat dishes, usually minced mutton.

I always wondered why you'd name something "meat" and not have meat in it! Then again, I'm easily confused when it comes to a lot of food names like when MissAutumn mentioned Yorkshire pudding (and there's no pudding in it!!)

I love mince pies. I heard that Oliver Cromwell banned them when he was in power. I suspect that's a myth.

Haha, well you could probably put pudding in a Yorkshire pudding if you wanted. :cheeky:
