More than likely, ... AI is everywhere now ... unfortunately it is only as good as its programmers & with so many hackers and cyber criminals I am worried for what AI will do in the future.

On a brighter note, beautiful day out, schools are back in session so not so many tourists & quieter in the community,

I go back to my original (imaginary?) observation. We were talking about castles and jousting, and wham, I'm fed AI images of Elon as a knight. I'm sure everything public here is gathered and fed into "the machine." And Elon/X has launched their AI Grok that does images based on prompts...

Yeah especially when sometime sad happens.. I prefer to focus on the Positive Side.. The Other Side is too much

You never know ... be excited about it & it might inspire someone to go ... bring out the curiosity in them.
On the other hand, if you have specific things you want to do bringing someone new might keep you from getting everything done. Pros & cons.

Sometimes I look for someone who just wants to go for a walk, enjoy the outdoors, talk or don't talk, just enjoy being outside. I am not one who likes the gym or swimming though.

I know it doesn't feel like how things should be, but I end up being the instigator of things that involve others. Since COVID lockdowns it's like everyone has gotten used to the new normal of less in person gatherings, so it's been more difficult than it used to be.

There's always joining other open groups and seeing if anything or anyone clicks. I wouldn't say it's a constant "struggle" (bad word for it), but it's a never-ending cycle (not in bad way, because another way to look at it is it's always new adventures to be had!).

It's good that you've got a balanced attitude. Please know we're just trying to help and excuse if we're looking at basic stuff first.

You seem to be fine (more than fine actually) with our little group. It's just the in person stuff then? Isn't the Ren Fair huge?

The trick for me has been making sure what ever I attend is about the "thing" and not about the attendees if that makes sense. I've attended things and not said a word (just smiled) and people have come to talk to me. I mean small things, but they "open the door" so to speak. (So many puns!) LOL
