That’s true, he probably feels very in the middle. I should check on him too and give him a gentle reminder.
No I’ve contacted Sawyers mother before and she just sighs and goes, “What do you want me to do?” Like, I don’t know lady, be a parent for five seconds?! Ugh. Some people shouldn’t have kids tbh.

How about you? How have you been?

Excuse me
"What do you want me to do"
What
That's your son, lady
Misbehaving, harassing someone, physically abusing someone
And your response is "what do you want me to do"!?
Like, what!?
Take some god damn responsibility for your flipping son and at least TRY and raise him to be an actual member of society and not a cruel tormenter of those he deems less than himself for whatever reason!

Parenting is tough which is why some people really should not have kids.
Thankfully some families or communities step up to help.
It is very sad though.
I had bullies in my life growing up, it stays with you.

I like to look at pictures to remind myself of good things that happened... sometimes I look at a photograph & realize I had forgotten that event or moment until the picture reminded me.

I was the bully as a kid but I was being bullied by my parents so I was an angry child
I see how it effects kids to be bullied watching my daughter and I feel so awful about how I used to be

That's a nice idea

Yeah, often times bullies are bullies because of someone else mistreating them. It's a vicious cycle

There's probably some genetic connection no doubt, but most behavioral things like bullies are due to parent's not parenting. It's incredible how much lifelong trauma happens in childhood. It's a testament to your intelligence and humanity that you've overcome. I've seen the endless vicious cycle in many lives...

At least you recognize it Shamus and maybe can figure out how to help them to not be bullies?

I feel that, my childhood was quite traumatic (though thankfully, or maybe unfortunately, I barely remember my childhood)
It's nice when the cycle gets broken

Yeah, recognizing your mistakes and misdeeds, and seeking to rectify them, is a huge step towards earning forgiveness (even if you don't get forgiven by someone you wronged, like if they're stubborn, you can at least do the best you can to pay for it in the sense of working towards doing better, like how sometimes someone who committed a crime does community service)

I like to pay good things forward ... someone helped me at one time so I try to help others.

Indeed, that's the kind of cycle we need to perpetuate
