Glad you had a nice time reminiscing then! :grin_wink:

I definitely wouldn't say Coherence was a flawless movie, there were absolutely parts of it that left me wanting, but on the whole I do have fun theory or lore crafting about it. Just turning it and other movies like it around in my brain slowly tbh. :cheeky:

Foundation is one I was considering checking out as well, my only issue is that I don't personally have AppleTv+ and that's the only place to stream it I think?

As a sci-fi fan I'm always eager to bite into a new series and everything you've said about it has my interest, I'll have to figure something out~!

I'd love to hear your theory!

It looks like it's free with ads on the Roku channel. (Not sure if you can stream online or if it requires a Roku.)
If you can binge watch it a 7 day trial of Apple is available, but I'm sure it's online elsewhere.

I'm hoping I'll be able to get to it soon, a family member of mine has an account but it's been a pain trying to get it to work on my devices. :embarassed:

I guess I have a lot of thoughts and theories, depending on how I decide to rewatch the film and what I'm focusing on! By the end of the film, I don't think any friend group managed to not swap out any of their members! That's sort of weird to think about right? Like one of your friends is your friend but Slightly Different. Uncanny Valley of Friendship, something like that.

Gingerale

It does! I think the whole vibe is meant to be surreal and toying with unreality like that haha.

I like to try to make sense of things & if things don't make sense then I am caught in a cycle of trying to clarify it in my mind so I tend to stay away from shows that are on the bizarre side or where the pieces don't come together in the end... so I tend to listen to other people's ideas of a show to see if it is something I want to invest my time into.

Oh, yes. Very INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS-ish. ;)

There was a time period in the 70's and 80's where paranoia and uneasy themes were a mainstay of movies. I've read they were capitalizing on cold war sentiments of the time.

Oh, Lemon, I hate that. It's like some movies give you a jigsaw puzzle to do with missing pieces and pieces from some other puzzle. I have to think a few were due to either the filmmaker not knowing better, the production company ran into issues and had to ship the movie in that state, then the worse offenders are those who do it and they don't care (style over substance). Aghh...

Oh that's very valid! Open endings can sometimes drive me up the wall. One thing I've learned over time is that for some shows or films, closure really shouldn't be the enemy but is for some reason? I've felt others out before as well when it comes to picking up new media. It feels like there's so many new titles to choose from nowadays!

Then franchises became popular, so you don't have to even put all the answers in the first or even second movie! You can hide it all down the line! The most recent example for me of ignoring a movie that I otherwise would have really wanted to see because it's a 2-parter is Wicked. I was a theater kid growing up and I loooooooved the show and I'd gone to see it several times. Come time for the movie and they're gonna make me wait for a whole other half to conclude the story? I still haven't watched it, I'm waiting for both parts to be out. :cheeky:

Hello~! I got the 'spellbook' from a grab bag from another user, not from this event! The item is called 'Yearbook Hallowshire Academy', I have gotten other Hallowshire items from the Fortune Teller if I remember correctly! The event DOES give out spellbooks though! They are hand items and I've gotten two colors from this event, I just don't remember if I won them from Dunking or if I got them from the Fortune Teller. If I get another I'll try to pay more attention! :cheeky:

Thank you for clarifying, Lemon! That's what I was leaning towards but I couldn't remember for sure! I've gotten a lot of interesting items from there actually! Sometimes even when it says you don't win a prize, actually you DID win something like a new hair or face or the flu virus, haha. :cheer:

yes it says that you didn't win...for real I found some weird sweaty faces in my inventory..but I got many faces so I dunno if it was from this event or I got them from trades prior to my Hiatus..but it seems its from this event

I know I've gotten at least three of those sweaty faces and I'm very new to this site so there was no other way for me to even get these items!

tI think its from the dunking..coz the number of faces kinda coincides with the number of failures (no reward) in the dunking games
