I have just joined and I come from the great white north, I am literally the last city in my time zone.

Question is there a way to make my Avatar male and not questionably male?

Welcome to Windlyn! Nice to meet you!

Great white north, as in "take off?" :)
(Maybe too young to know that one?)

What we have as bases is what we have. You'd be surprised at how your dress and accessorize will change your appearance.

Does your username have anything to do with your job or hobbies?

Hope you enjoy your time here!

Actually I am from that generation so yes I do know it =P

Ah good to know, what just curious since I am a large guy since I practice HEMA.

And not really it's just a gaming name I like to use, I work security for the forces base up here and mostly just play video games, watch anime, and study.

Welcome to Windlyn!

What video games do you like? What anime do you like? What's your favorite color?

Are you guys talking about the movie?

Welcome to Windlyn! Do you have an bbreviation for your name at all for us to use?

We do have some male items but the bases are more "youthful" in appearance so you are going to look like a young male.

Is HEMA martial arts?

I don't know of any movie by that name, but there was a humorous song (was it the band Rush? From Canada too I think) about the Great White North (i.e. Canada) way back when. You might not think it's funny, Lemon, being from Canada and all. :)

By "forces" do you mean the military?

I had to look up HEMA too, but not sure what it stands for either.

Probably Historical Eurpoean Martial Arts. That's what I found when I googled HEMA, lol. That and a store called HEMA.

I've been playing planetside 2 for 4 years, currently play Emrald TR. I play just about every game imaginable except the older nostalgia bait games.
MonkeyGirl18 wrote:What anime do you like?

Shoujo mostly, I enjoy the odd Shonen if they can't write a decent story that isn't a cookie cutter story.
MonkeyGirl18 wrote:What's your favorite color?

Purple

Yep, that's the one. Geddy Lee (Singer/bass player from Rush) sang the chorus. :)

When I think of Martial Arts, I picture Karate, Judo, etc.. Is HEMA similar or like medieval sword fighting?

A martial art is just a method of combat and Europe had their own methods, even different styles of wrestling and fist to cuffs.

Welcome to Windlyn Meat Vegetable!

I'm sure facial hair would be added if there was enough interest. It's funny cause on another avatar site one of the event items was a beard.

What are some of your favorite shojo? I'm watching March Comes in Like a Lion now.

Do you compete in HEMA or is it more of a hobby?

I would pay 10 real dollars to have facial hair lol

My overall favourite is Kmi ni Todoke, followed by Ore Monogatari, currently I am watching Akagami no Shirayuki-hime and love it to bits <3

Hobby, I don't get competitive anymore, it does help with larp characters who are great fighters.

We have mustache items for the face.

I thought they were still in the shops (like at the bottom of a page). Some of the hats are masculine inclined too.
