Salutations

Postby DaystarNemesis » Sun Mar 22, 2026 10:10 am

This site looks fairly interesting. I will admit to being a refugee from Gaia. I did hear the old owner grabbed hold once more, but I fear the damage is done. I've no problem with ads or funding, or anything like that, but when that's the only thing you ever get anymore, it's very disheartening.

I don't know if this place is any different, as I can't see the forums without signing up, but the bot fight synopsis gives me hope for this place. I hope to have fun hear with you guys! :L_Wing:  :R_Wing:

I see so many typos and I can't edit. Good to know I need to be careful the first time. It's a good choice, I think.

Welcome to Windlyn!

Thanks for your understanding the bot battles. I believe the lack of editing capability is due to bots creating accounts and then sneaking back later (sometimes months) to sneak their spam links into really old messages that understandably escape the mods watchful eyes... if only they'd use their powers for good rather than evil everyone would be better off.

Do you have any hobbies or watching any thing interesting these days? I'm a big movie fan and currently really happy that SCRUBS has come back. So far it's really very very faithful to the original series. It's not a show for everyone, but I like the combo of quirkiness and serious humanity.

I hope you're having a great day!

I am. I've been running through the shops. I like the vibes so far, and I've only been to two!

I have been rather taken with nalbinding, of late.

I saw the original series. I had no idea they revived it. Is it like a remake, or what?

Ah, I had to look up nalbinding. Cool! I became facinated with Japanese knots during covid and that opened a whole world to what can be done with "string" (rescue, camping, decorative, etc.). I know it's not the same, but kinda similar. I find it kind of theraputic and need to get back to it. ;)

re: SCRUBS
It's a continuation of the old series. Most of the original cast is back and there's a new group of newbies. If you liked the old one, I think you'll feel right at home!

Welcome to Windlyn!

Normally you can go to "edit" and fix your mistakes - I often press submit before double checking so I like the edit button.

We had a Chinese new year event recently and I think everything is low key until the bots get under control ?

Windlyn is a small but friendly community.

You can get feather currency from playing the games ( 3 scores each game daily), free items from the fishing pond, (every 8 hours) or posting. But no feathers if you double post. Some threads are worth more feathers, hangouts is the most - 10 per post.
Come visit my newbie thread for a prize.
