What to cook for Valentines day?!

Postby RizaDaTank » Sun Feb 08, 2015 5:59 pm

I need help for next weekend!
My lovely boyfriend is coming over and I forgot to make preparations for Valentines Day dinner! I have no idea what to make, so I'm taking suggestions.
Here's the catch, I live in a small basement apartment, and my only appliances are pretty much stove top and a small toaster oven. Other than that, no allergies or dislikes to food!
There will be a (somewhat) winner! I'll take and post a picture of the food that wins (or an altered version of it)!
Please keep to Windlyn rules, thank you.

Yus! pizza is always romantic!

My husband loves when I make Sesame Chicken and Fried Rice. All you need is a stove top! You could always pop some egg rolls into the toaster oven or microwave if needed. XD

I can post the recipe if you'd like!

I actually eat too much pizza xD He won't let me buy that. Also I do make some really awesome stir fry and pasta dishes, maybe I'll put a little twist on one of those o:

I gotta see how the week goes! Might just make it his turn to treat me xD

I like that idea xD
Someone here suggested doing lobster.. I might actually make a meal I made a few years ago which was a surf and turf with shrimp stuck on skewers to look like hearts.

That works O:

If cost is an issue, heart shaped pancakes. I have no idea why hamburgers came to mind before that one haha.

Pancakes are a good dessert idea! I'll make a nice semi sweet berry topping o:
Also I'm just trying to figure out something fancy, so cost isn't really an issue xD

I was about to say the shrimp skewers that look like hearts, but you beat me to it.

You could make a nice salad, and do the trick where you mold hard boiled eggs to look like hearts, it's not hard. You just need some folded card, elastics, and a chopstick. Then when you slice it you can put heart shaped pieces on top. Super cute idea.

Hmm I don't really care for Salad. I'm praying he just comes over and surprises me instead u_u I have so much going on at the moment. It's looking like surf and turf though...

surf and turf is usually safe and where we are seafood is on sale this week end. Steam the crab legs, not sure how they are BBqued. You can make heart shaped biscuits or croissants in the toaster oven. Or just do all seafood...
